Putting for Purrs - for Felines, Inc.

Last night, Steve and I attended a fund raising event to benefit Felines, Inc.. Felines Inc. is a licensed cageless, no-kill cat shelter located on the north side of Chicago. We met wonderful Abby Smith, the Executive Director at Felines, who organized this really fun event. Despite the torrential rain storms, quite a few fellow feline friends were in attendance and ready to Putt for Purrs!

As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), Felines Inc. is funded almost entirely through membership, adoption fees, fundraising events, and the generous tax-deductible donations of caring individuals. They do not receive any federal or state funding.

A great time for a great cause. We will definitely be attending more benefits for Felines, Inc.

p.s. Steve beat me in golf, but I whooped him in air hockey.

Is it true that mom and dad are coming home? I can't wait!

And Kismet says.....Kismet? Now where did he go?

Ah-ha! Kismet, there you are! Of course I'd find you in here!

Oh, hi Maggie! It's me, Kismet! I hope you come to visit soon! Bring some meat snacks. I like meat snacks. Mmmm..meat snacks.

Well kitties, it was truly a pleasure watching you the last few days! I hope to see you again very soon!

Well, Valentine's day is OVER, folks.

Grrrrrrrrr!!

Mousey was not in a good mood tonight, and it appeared the boys just annoyed her even further. After a delicious dinner of "tender beef", she gave a few hisses and ran and hid for a while. I think it was best she was alone. Kismet plopped down and relaxed on the rug, while Froggy enjoyed a sprightly game of "catch the string!"

But wait! The string landed in the waste basket and made a really cool rustling sound! Mousey must investigate....


Mousey was so enthralled, she even let Kismet join her in the search.

What ever it was went behind here....

This game kept Mousey entertained for quite a while....that is until the boys got a little too close...

There was definitely love in the air this Valentine's evening!!

Froggy joined us on "his side" of the couch. Apparently he had a hot date tonight, as he began rigorously grooming and primping.

Kismet was nearby, but wasn't joining us on the couch. Every once in a while, he'd look over at the purring Froggy and Mousey who were getting massages and lounging on their pillows.
